29 April 2013 Premier League top scorer Robin van Persie was one of four Manchester United players to be named in the PFA Team of the Season. Van Persie, who moved to Old Trafford from Arsenal last summer, has scored 25 targets so far this term to help United win their 20th Barclays Premier League title. He is registered in the Team of the Season, that will be voted for by the people, by team-mates David De Gea, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick. Deposed winners Manchester City only have one member in the group - Argentina right-back Pablo Zabaleta. Controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who last week received a 10-match bar for stinging Branislav Ivanovic, partners Van Persie in advance in the XI, that has been exposed at a glitzy gathering in central London on Sunday evening Gareth Bale's 19 targets make him a place in the staff, while his Tottenham team-mate Jan Vertonghen is known as in key defence. Chelsea mixture Juan Mata and Eden Hazard were also included, as was Everton left-back Leighton Baines.
