The Sun is saved in Chelsea v Manchester United FA Cup replay - by petr Cech

Chelsea were leading 1-0 inside their FA Cup replay at Stamford Bridge yesterday once the Czech stopper repelled a header from Javier Hernandez on 61 minutes. It proved important, with the Blues going to see out the match and put up a semi-final conflict with Manchester City. And Cech has now given his undertake the incident a' claiming it's driven plaudits from other members of the goalkeepersa union. He said: aIt was a fantastic ball from the wing and Javier did well to direct the ball in to the goal. aI went as fast as I can and left my left arm to complete the task. As I can I tried to cover the maximum amount of space and fortunately I was able to achieve it. aI knew before the cross arrived that Hernandez was there, so I knew Iad have to be really fast to obtain there, thatas what allowed me to make the save. aYou must have awareness of the folks around you because it helps you make the best decision. aIt was an important moment in the overall game, Iam sure lots of people can already see the ball in the goal, so I was glad I got enough on it to drive it over. aI got a couple of messages from other people and owners, itas great that people could appreciate the save. aEven in the first half with the photo from Hernandez, when the ball moved away from me, it was a scary moment and it took a lot of power for me to stop the ball away, therefore Iam pleased with just how I played.a Video: Top four is still priority for Chelsea
