The Atlanta Falcons finally have their long-term copy quarterback with the seventh-round variety of Sean Renfree out of Duke. The David Cutcliffe product is a superb match for the Falcons' offensive model and could be the perfect person behind Matt Ryan. Atlanta lucked out and got one of many greatest long-term prospects at quarterback in the draft. He should have gone around three times sooner than he did, but he is just snatched by you up, when a prospect this good falls. Locating a good copy in today's NFL is difficult to do. Sean Renfree is a field standard of epic proportions to bring Duke to a bowl game. He makes effective scans and often leads the worst skill to winning conditions. When Duke finally gave him complete get a handle on of the offense, he submitted career figures. He's found progress in every single time in almost every type because he earnedAtheAstarting career as a redshirt sophomore. He brought his conclusion percentage up an average of nearly three full percentage points each year (61.4 to 64.9 to 67.1), lifted his landing to interception rate each year (14:17 to 14:11 to 19:10) and has taken fewer carriers from year to year. On top of every one of that, the Blue Devils have observed his qualities lead them to some of their finest periods over the past few decades. In his three conditions beginning, they went from 3-9 and 3-9 to 6-6 and a game in his final period at Duke. Ideally, Renfree never actually needs to simply take the field, but if he does, the Falcons must feel comfortable in his ability as a backup. Sean Renfree is a great person off the subject. He is a team leader while the quarterback of the Blue Devils and has been devoted to the team since his first day on campus. He is a graduate currently and has been planning on getting not merely a degree, but is also seeking to eventually go to medical school and become a physician. A work ethic that his head coach David Cutcliffe compares to Peyton Manning (h/t NFL.com's Marc Sessler) will help him make that amount when his football career is over. However for now, it appears like his first love is football, and his medical degree may come later. Worst-case situation for Renfree is he spends a year or two on the Falcons' exercise team and does not need student loans for his medical degree. Best-case situation for both Renfree and the Falcons is he ends up a long-term copy for the Falcons and can teach starter potentiala'the sort of starter who would warrant a set of two second-round picks much like Matt Schaub did. That could be the greatest winning situation for both the Falcons and Renfree. To learn more on Sean Renfree,Acheck out Wes Steuveas scouting report.
