Princeton Hosts Syracuse in Top Lacrosse Competition Match-Up

Princeton and Syracuse is perhaps the best rivalry in school lacrosse. The two have battled for numerous national titles, and were both deemed dynasties in the glory days of the late 1990s and 2000s. This year, the competition again takes center stage whilst the No. The trip is made by 8 Syracuse Orange to central Nj-new Jersey to battle No. 7 Princeton. Both teams enter the game with a 6-2 report. Syracuse has losses to Albany and Villanova, while Princeton has fallen to New York and Penn. For Syracuse, losing to Villanova was a bit of a shocker, though 'Nova has demonstrated to have talent in 2013. Since the Great Danes beat Johns Hopkins traveling yesterday the loss to Albany by someone to start the season is not looking as negative. Princeton's 16-15 loss to UNC was a hardcore one in Chapel Hill. Putting up 15 targets was encouraging, but a loss is just a loss. The reduction to Penn was damaging so far as the Ivy League moves, but with snow, sleet, rain, and an lightning delay, the game was sloppy to express the least. Tonight, those two teams will look to put a signature gain on their event application. At this time, Syracuse's largest advantages are over Hopkins and St. John's, with St. John's ranked No. 10 in this week's poll. Princeton's big wins are over Yale and Hopkins, but neither are rated in the Most Effective 10. A win tonight would improve both team's standing, while a loss would be negative if Syracuse and Princeton don't get automatic qualifiers by earning their leagues. Princeton is light emitting diode by a collection of offensive threats. All-American Tom Schreiber has been helped by Jeff Frocarro, Ryan Ambler and Mike MacDonald in a big way this year. Although he also has among the images to stop in the nation, their ability to score in high volume has helped Schreiber to be always a pass-first midfielder. Syracuse is light emitting diode by Jojo Marasco and Kevin Rice on crime. They are both creative enemies that can score in a heartbeat. A new Princeton defense will need to stand hard early to greatly help their team keep pace. Justin Murphy has been enormous for Princeton at the face-off X recently. He's helpedAstabilize a product that had been struggling for the past few years at Princeton. Syracuse has been average on the draws, and will appear to regulate the speed of play tonight overseas. My call of the game may be seen on 103.3 WPRB FM in Central Nj. It'll be televised nationally on ESPNU. Face-off is set for 5 p.m.
