Newcastle would ordinarily be a tough test for Manchester City, but the Magpies are plagued with injuries as they gear up for a clash at the Etihad Stadium
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini may have conceded the Premier League title, but he will still want his side to produce a strong finish to the season as they take on a resurgent Newcastle.
The Magpies are almost clear of a relegation battle they drifted too close for comfort to, although they will find it a tough task to pick up something at the home of the Premier League champions. The job will be made all the tougher by a swathe of injuries to hit the Newcastle squad as they endure yet another injury crisis, although the likes of Mathieu Debuchy and Cheik Tiote should return for their next fixture.
In all, it should on paper be a comfortable win for the Citizens, but they've been rather unpredictable this season, and Newcastle certainly have a lot more to play for. They'll also still have the likes of Yohan Cabaye and Papiss Cisse in their ranks, so can certainly not be dismissed as a threat.
Out: Hatem Ben Arfa (hamstring), Fabricio Coloccini (back), Mathieu Debuchy (hamstring), Massadio Haidara (knee), Tim Krul (ankle), Ryan Taylor (knee), Davide Santon (thigh), Cheik Tiote (muscle), Haris Vuckic (knee)
