Broncos Reportedly Making “Strong Push” For Freeney

The Denver Broncos have reportedly made strong interest in former Colts' defensive end, Dwight Freeney. Freeney played eleven seasons with the Indianapolis Colts before parting ways after the 2012 season. Freeney played 14 games last season and racked up 5 total sacks. The Broncos have interest in both Freeney and Falcons' former defensive end, John Abraham. However, Freeney seems to be the team's first choice.

Mike Klis tweeted: "Dwight Freeney is the Broncos' first choice to replace Elvis Dumervil. Again, Freeney a Tom Condon client."

Freeney, former teammate of Peyton Manning, racked up 107.5 sacks in his career since coming into the league in 2002 out of Syracuse. The Broncos met with both Freeney and Abraham last Thursday. Now that Dumervil is gone, look for the Broncos to sign a new pass rusher rather soon.
